Yash Raj Films (YRF) is preparing for a significant release at the end of the year. While ‘Alpha,’ featuring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh, has already generated buzz, YRF’s performance this year has been varied. ‘Saiyaara’ has garnered over 500 crore, while ‘War 2’ starring Hrithik Roshan has struggled. In a notable announcement, the makers revealed ‘Mardaani 3,’ the third installment in the franchise. A poster shows Rani Mukerji’s hand holding a gun, with the backdrop of a Delhi police barricade and officers. The film will be directed by Abhiraj Minawala.
‘Mardaani 3’ is set to be released on February 27, 2026. The first look, a picture of Rani’s hand, was shared along with a caption: ‘On the auspicious day of Navratri, celebrate the victory of good over evil. Rani Mukerji returns in ‘Mardaani 3′ as top police officer Shivani Shivaji Roy, who will be seen solving her most difficult case.’ If the film manages to avoid a clash at the box office, it may have a better chance of success. Rani Mukerji’s last film was ‘Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway,’ and ‘Mardaani 2’ was released on December 13, 2019.
