Five years after the loss of Sushant Singh Rajput, producer Prerna Arora still grapples with the reality of his absence. She revealed, “I feel his presence all around me. His music, his movies, and the stories of other aspiring actors remind me of him. Hearing the struggles of young talent, like the recent incident where a promising newcomer missed out on a role due to nepotism, is especially poignant.” Reflecting on the circumstances of his passing, Arora commented, “The reasons behind his death may remain unknown to us. However, blaming his girlfriend was insensitive. We are each responsible for our own paths.” Arora highlighted her spiritual bond with Sushant. “He was a devotee of Lord Shiva, just like me. His film ‘Kedarnath’ was a dedication to Shiva. My film ‘Jatadhara’ is along the same lines.” She also regretted the opportunities Sushant missed. “He had so much more to offer as an actor and as an influential member of society. It was my vision to cast Sushant in a role representing Lord Shiva. However, destiny had other plans.”
