The latest box office figures for Pawan Kalyan’s film, ‘They Call Him OG,’ are in. The film created a sensation upon its release, though it experienced a subsequent drop in earnings. While performing well in India, it has yet to capture a significant audience in the Hindi-speaking regions. Overseas collections are also promising. The film is posing a challenge to Rajinikanth’s ‘Kuli,’ the highest-grossing South Indian film of 2025. If ‘OG’ maintains its current momentum, it could surpass ‘Kuli’s’ lifetime collections. The film has earned ₹200 crore within the first four days.
‘OG’ earned ₹21 crore before release through advance bookings and paid previews. On its opening day, the film earned ₹63.75 crore in India, followed by a period of consistent earnings. The film earned ₹18.45 crore on Friday and ₹18.50 crore each on Saturday and Sunday. This brings the four-day domestic total to ₹140.20 crore, with a gross of ₹164.35 crore. The overseas collection has reached ₹55 crore, with Sunday’s figures still pending, leading to a worldwide total of ₹200 crore.
Rajinikanth’s ‘Kuli’ holds the record for the highest-grossing South Indian film of 2025. Its net collection in India was ₹284.84 crore, with a gross of ₹337.30 crore. Overseas earnings were ₹179.7 crore, resulting in a worldwide collection of ₹517 crore. The upcoming weekdays will be crucial for ‘OG’ to break Rajinikanth’s record. The film ‘Kantara Chapter 1’ also poses a potential threat.
