The film ‘Mirai,’ a recent addition to the action-adventure genre, is drawing positive responses from viewers. Teja Sajja stars in the lead role, marking his return after ‘HanuMan.’ Despite competition from other movies released this week, ‘Mirai’ has established a strong presence at the box office, as indicated by its Day 2 collection figures.
‘Mirai’ began its box office run with a collection of Rs 13 crore on Day 1 (Friday), with the Telugu version contributing the most (Rs 11.15 crore). The Hindi version earned Rs 1.65 crore, while Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam versions added smaller amounts. On Saturday (Day 2), collections increased to approximately Rs 14.5 crore, including Rs 11.5 crore from Telugu and Rs 2.8 crore from Hindi. This brings the two-day total to Rs 27.5 crore, with the Telugu version leading at Rs 22.65 crore, the Hindi version at Rs 4.45 crore, and the rest from other languages.
The plot centers on a warrior who must protect nine sacred texts that have the power to turn any mortal into a god.
Teja Sajja shared that director Karthik Ghattamaneni approached him for ‘Mirai’ after the success of ‘HanuMan.’ The director highlighted the difficulties of the project, possibly to gauge Sajja’s commitment. Sajja confirmed his willingness to fully commit to the film. The film also features Manchu Manoj, Ritika Nayak, and Shriya Saran, with Manchu Manoj playing the antagonist.
