The film’s sequel is leveraging the popularity of its predecessor, which is translating into impressive box office numbers. The film had a strong opening day, and while there was a slight decrease in earnings on the second day, it is anticipated to outperform many major films by the end of the first weekend. The film’s cinematic narrative and story have garnered considerable excitement among fans, and there’s speculation about its potential to become the first 1000-crore film of 2025. In just two days, the movie has demonstrated a strong performance worldwide. Within India, ‘Kantara Chapter 1’ had a powerful start, accumulating 60 crore rupees on its opening day, with substantial support in Hindi-speaking markets. In two days, the film’s net collection in India is 106.85 crore rupees, and the gross collection has reached 128.25 crore rupees. It is projected to achieve approximately 200 crore rupees in India by the weekend. The film has also taken the lead as the largest Kannada film of 2025, surpassing ‘S u From So’s’ 92 crore collection. Internationally, ‘Kantara Chapter 1’ has performed exceptionally well, with 13 crore rupees earned overseas on its first day, and approximately 10 crore rupees on the second day, totaling around 23-24 crore rupees overseas. The global collection has reached 151 crore rupees within two days. The film has surpassed the earnings of Akshay Kumar’s films, including ‘Kesari Chapter 2’ (144 crore rupees) and ‘Sky Force’ (150 crore rupees) within a short span.
