The upcoming film ‘War 2’ marks South Indian star Jr. NTR’s entry into Bollywood, where he will star alongside Hrithik Roshan. The movie is slated for a theatrical release on August 14th. A pre-release event, featuring Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR, took place in Hyderabad on August 10th. At the event, Jr. NTR not only lauded Hrithik’s performance but also explained the reasons behind the reluctance of South Indian superstars to join Bollywood. Jr. NTR shared, “Working with you for 75 days has been a huge learning experience for me. I eagerly anticipate sharing the screen with you again. Thank you, sir, for considering me as your brother and for your warm welcome.”
Jr. NTR also referenced S.S. Rajamouli’s film ‘RRR,’ which propelled him to a pan-India star. He said that despite Rajamouli’s efforts in breaking the barriers between South and North Indian cinema, a degree of uncertainty exists among South Indian actors about their acceptance in Bollywood. NTR expressed his appreciation to Hrithik for his welcoming attitude, stating, “Thank you for accepting me wholeheartedly and for the embrace, which you gave me so beautifully on the first day. I will never forget the moments on ‘War 2’ with you.”
Hrithik Roshan, during the pre-release event, referred to Jr. NTR as his brother, addressing the audience. He stated, “We are all brothers and a family. Tarak (Jr. NTR) and I began working as co-stars and eventually became brothers in real life.” He appealed to fans to continue showing the same love and affection for Jr. NTR, whom he believes is deserving of it.
