Akshay Kumar, celebrated for his fast-paced approach to filmmaking, consistently works on and releases numerous movies each year. This year alone, three of his films have already been released, with more projects in development. Kumar is also gearing up for ‘Jolly LLB 3’. Anticipation is high for his collaborations with Priyadarshan, especially ‘Haiwaan’. This film brings Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan together after a 17-year gap.
‘Haiwaan’ is directed by Priyadarshan, who helmed the original. The team recently completed outdoor shooting in Ooty, and an actress provided a significant update, highlighting the performances of Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan.
The initial stages of ‘Haiwaan’ were filmed in Kochi, Vagamon, and Ooty. After completion, the actors returned. Vamsi Kaka posted on X with pictures of the actors, confirming the outdoor shoot’s completion in scenic locations. The team has now moved to Mumbai for the next schedule. Saiyami Kher and Shriya Pilgaonkar are also part of the film.
Saiyami Kher, who was part of the Ooty schedule, shared her experiences, emphasizing the positive atmosphere and her enjoyment working with the leading actors. Kher’s acting also resonated with the makers, and this year she appeared in Sunny Deol’s ‘Jaat’, where she portrayed a police officer.
Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan have previously collaborated on films like ‘Tashan’, ‘Main Khiladi Tu Anari’, ‘Yeh Dillagi’, ‘Tu Chor Main Sipahi’ and ‘Keemat’. The film is expected to be released in 2026. The film’s performance will be evaluated based on how well it does compared to the original.
