Amidst swirling rumors that Diljit Dosanjh might be removed from the cast of ‘Border 2’ due to the backlash over his work with Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in ‘Sardaar Ji 3,’ the actor-singer has issued a strong statement. Instead of words, Dosanjh used an Instagram reel to make his point. The reel showed him exiting his vanity van, sporting army badges with his name. The caption simply read ‘Border 2,’ and the post included the patriotic anthem ‘Sandese Aate Hain’ from the original ‘Border’ film. This effectively quelled speculation about his departure. The controversy surrounding Diljit intensified after the trailer release of ‘Sardaar Ji 3,’ prompting calls for a ban on his projects in India. The film’s release was restricted to overseas markets due to the fallout. The All India Cine Workers Association (AICWA) even wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and urged action, seeking to deny certification for his future films. The film also stars Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty, Suniel Shetty, Rashmika Mandanna, Sonam Bajwa, Vinali Bhatnagar, Paramvir Cheema, Nishan Singh, Guneet Sandhu, Mouni Roy, and Sai Dibyajyoti Behera.
