In a candid revelation, actor Bobby Deol has put to rest speculation surrounding his parents’ living arrangements, confirming that his father, the iconic Dharmendra, and his first wife, Prakash Kaur, are residing together. The news comes as Bobby enjoys a surge of appreciation for his powerful performance in Aryan Khan’s directorial venture, ‘Ba***ds of Bollywood’. Dharmendra’s tendency towards emotional social media updates had previously raised concerns among fans about his personal state.
Bobby Deol shared insights into his father’s temperament in an interview, noting, “Papa is very emotional. He’s very expressive. He shares what he’s feeling with everyone.” He admitted to sometimes questioning his father about his heartfelt but occasionally exaggerated posts, to which Dharmendra would simply state he was following his emotions. “We meet him, but we are sometimes busy, and he gets emotional. He doesn’t realize the reach of his posts,” Bobby elaborated.
He clarified the common perception of Dharmendra being alone: “My mum is also there. They’re both at the farm in Khandala right now. Papa and Mummy are together; he just gets a little dramatic.” Bobby emphasized their contentment at the Khandala farmhouse, describing it as a peaceful haven. “They love being at the farmhouse. They’re also old now, and being at the farmhouse is relaxing for them. The weather is nice, the food is nice. Papa has made a paradise out there,” he remarked.
Prakash Kaur, who has largely remained away from public scrutiny, was also discussed. Bobby explained her quiet demeanor by stating, “You don’t hear about my mother much because people don’t usually ask us about her.” He described her as a strong housewife and his closest confidante, with whom he maintains daily contact. Praising her resilience, Bobby said, “She’s the strongest woman I’ve ever met in my life…. She came from a small village, and the way of living was very simple. And then, to adjust to city life as the wife of a superstar… It wasn’t easy.” He underscored her crucial role in Dharmendra’s stardom, asserting, “It is because of my mother’s support that my father became a big star.”
