The highly anticipated clash between Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR’s ‘War 2’ and Rajinikanth’s ‘Coolie’ took place on August 14, 2025, with both films vying for box office dominance. These movies, among the most awaited releases of the year, attracted large audiences and generated significant revenue, positioning them as two of the most successful films of the period. While both films enjoyed strong opening weekends, they experienced a decrease in earnings during the weekdays. Nevertheless, each movie surpassed the Rs 200 crore mark in its inaugural week. As Day 8’s initial estimates become available, the competition continues into the second weekend.
‘War 2’, starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR, debuted with a phenomenal response at the box office.
