Akanksha Chamola, wife of Bigg Boss 19 contestant Gaurav Khanna, recently shared her personal views on starting a family during her appearance in the house. She elaborated on why she is not currently planning to have children, describing it as a ‘very big responsibility.’
During a conversation in the garden area with Malti Chahar and Pranit More, the topic of children surfaced. Malti recalled a recent visit from an astrologer where Gaurav Khanna had asked about their future family, prompting her to ask Akanksha about her own plans. Akanksha responded directly, ‘No, it’s not like that, I am not planning.’
She further explained her lack of desire for children, stating, ‘So far, I haven’t felt that inclination, and even in the future, it feels very difficult for me. For some reason, it hasn’t come from within me. I don’t feel the need to have a kid.’ Akanksha believes that if one constantly seeks excuses, it signals unpreparedness for parenthood.
Addressing potential concerns, Akanksha clarified, ‘I am not scared of it.’ Her primary concern lies in fulfilling the significant duties associated with raising a child. ‘Having a child is not like making a dessert; it’s a very big responsibility,’ she emphasized. ‘I don’t think I can justify that role as well as I should. At any age, you must commit your absolute best.’ Akanksha also pointed to her career ambitions as a key factor, stating, ‘Yes, I want to build my career, I have many ambitions, and whether people label that as selfish is their perspective.’
Gaurav Khanna later interjected, asserting that his wife was not being selfish. This personal discussion follows an earlier episode where Gaurav had expressed his own desire for children to another contestant, acknowledging Akanksha’s current reservations.
