Tiger Shroff’s Baaghi 4 has had a disappointing opening weekend, earning a mere ₹30 crore. The film, which was expected to draw large crowds, has fallen short of expectations, failing to replicate the success of its predecessors. The latest installment, Baaghi 4, is struggling to impress audiences, with its collections falling far below the budget. This performance raises concerns about its future at the box office.
On its first day, Baaghi 4 earned ₹12 crore, followed by ₹9.25 crore on the second day. The third-day collection was ₹10 crore, bringing the total opening weekend earnings to ₹31.25 crore. With a budget of ₹120 crore, the film has a long way to go to recover its costs. The gross collection in India is ₹25.25 crore, while the overseas collection is only ₹3.25 crore. The worldwide collection stands at ₹38.50 crore. The movie’s failure to meet financial targets in the opening weekend indicates a potential downturn.
The Baaghi franchise’s most successful film to date remains Baaghi 2, which was released seven years ago in 2018. Baaghi 2 had a budget of ₹75 crore and earned a gross collection of ₹211.84 crore in India and ₹45.16 crore overseas. With a worldwide box office collection of ₹257 crore, the film was a significant blockbuster. Baaghi 2 had already recouped its budget and earned ₹72 crore in its opening weekend. Baaghi 4 is not close to matching Baaghi 2’s performance, which presents a challenge for the film.
