Despite a large budget of 400 crore, the film grossed only 237 crore in India and 365 crore globally. ‘Son of Sardaar 2,’ the sequel to Ajay Devgn’s hit, also stumbled, earning just 46 crore in India against a budget of 100-150 crore. Salman Khan’s ‘Sikandar’ was another setback. Despite a budget of 200-250 crore, the film’s earnings in India were limited to 100 crore. Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Emergency,’ with a budget of 60 crore, also struggled at the box office, managing a worldwide collection of only 23.81 crore. ‘Game Changer,’ a high-budget South Indian film starring Ram Charan, disappointed, earning 186 crore worldwide compared to its 400-450 crore budget. The film’s performance was a significant blow to its creators.
