Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty Gear Up for ‘Golmaal FIVE’ Production in 2026

Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty, known for their box office hits, are joining forces again for the highly anticipated ‘Golmaal FIVE.’ Production is planned to begin in early 2026. The script for the fifth installment of the comedy series is currently in development. Rohit Shetty is currently working on the Rakesh Maria biopic, which is expected to be completed by September 2025, with the editing finalized by the end of the year. Following the biopic, Shetty will concentrate on preparing ‘Golmaal FIVE,’ aiming to start filming in February or March 2026. The screenplay is being crafted by a new team of writers, with a target completion date of September 2025. The movie will feature the return of the original ‘Golmaal’ cast members, including Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Kunal Kemmu, Shreyas Talpade, and Johnny Lever. The ‘Golmaal’ franchise, launched in 2006, has become a prominent comedy series in Indian cinema, achieving significant box office success and a dedicated fan base. Ajay Devgn is also involved in upcoming projects such as ‘Son of Sardaar 2,’ ‘De De Pyaar De 2,’ and ‘Drishyam 3,’ which are scheduled to be released in the near future. Additionally, Devgn has finished filming for ‘Dhamaal 4,’ slated for a 2026 release.
