Amidst the legal storm surrounding ‘The Ba***ds of Bollywood,’ actor Rajat Bedi, who is part of the series, has shared his perspective on Sameer Wankhede’s defamation case. Wankhede, a former NCB zonal director, has sued Netflix and Red Chillies Entertainment, owned by Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan, alleging defamation. Bedi described Aryan Khan, son of the Khans and director of the series, as ‘a kid’ who has gone through a ‘tough phase.’ He acknowledged Wankhede’s position within the government but indicated that the situation surrounding Aryan Khan was difficult. Bedi chose to limit his comments, noting that he ‘would not say anything’ more, but implied that the circumstances were challenging. The lawsuit, filed in the Delhi High Court, seeks damages and injunctions, with Wankhede claiming the series unfairly targets him and negatively impacts public perception of law enforcement, especially given the pending legal proceedings involving him and Aryan Khan.
