Bollywood actor Aamir Khan, known for his meticulous approach to filmmaking, is currently navigating changes to his upcoming projects. While his recent work has garnered attention, the focus now shifts to his future endeavors. Amidst these discussions, news has emerged that a major film has been placed on hold. The change, impacting the director, has left many questioning its cause.
Khan and Rajkumar Hirani were planning to collaborate on a biopic about ‘Dadasaheb Phalke’. This project was eagerly anticipated by fans, marking a reunion after the successes of ‘3 Idiots’ and ‘PK’. However, the film has been put on hold, causing disappointment. The reason for the delay is now a subject of speculation.
According to reports, Aamir Khan was presented with the script for the ‘Dadasaheb Phalke’ film by Rajkumar Hirani and Abhijat Joshi. However, the actor felt the script did not have the necessary elements for a successful theatrical release. He anticipated a blend of comedy and emotion like in his previous hits, but the script lacked comedy. Consequently, Aamir Khan was reportedly not pleased with the script. He asked Rajkumar Hirani to rewrite it and return with a revised version.
Reportedly, the director, Rajkumar Hirani, was taken aback by Khan’s response. Abhijat Joshi was also surprised by the turn of events. The film was planned to commence filming this October. However, alterations were made before it could begin production. Khan is now exploring other scripts, seeking out stories from individuals across the industry.
Furthermore, Khan was scheduled to work on a superhero film with Lokesh Kanagaraj. News indicates this project has also been shelved. Disagreements on creative ideas between Khan and Kanagaraj led to this decision. While Kanagaraj might still pursue the superhero film with another actor, it is currently not moving forward.
