After the formation of new societies, the number of cooperatives in the state will increase from 1333 to 2000. This is being done with the objective of providing maximum facilities to farmers at short distances.
Through the cooperative societies, all the facilities are available to the farmers from paddy procurement to farmers, seeds and loans. The state government had issued a notification a few days ago regarding the reorganization of all the cooperative societies in the state. For this, the process has been almost completed in all the districts. In fact, keeping in mind the increasing number of farmers in the state and the increasing trends towards the cultivation of people, the government has decided to increase the number of cooperatives. Almost all their work is done through cooperative societies. In many districts, farmers had to face a lot of difficulties due to the large distance of committees. But with the formation of new committees, farmers will no longer have to travel far to settle their urgent work.

Committees will be decided on this basis,
necessary guidelines have also been issued for the formation of new committees. Arable area will be 1500 in the general area and 2000 hectare in the scheduled area. The distance of work area will be 10 km in general area and 20 km in scheduled area. Similarly, the minimum number of members will be seven hundred and fifty. A society will consist of a village panchayat and all the villages of a Patwari Mata and these villages will be of the same assembly constituency. It will also be seen that the workspace should not be in two development blocks or two tehsils.
In the
notification issued by the State Government on restructuring from the High Court , it has been clarified that the High Court in its order has abrogated the Code-8 of the notification issued by the Department. But restructuring of societies has not been banned.

“The formation of new committees will increase the facilities available to the farmers in the state, while the work of the farmers will be done easily. They will not have to travel very far for manure and seeds. “
