The last rites of Harminder Singh Hora, brother of former Congress legislator Gurumukh Singh Hora, was performed on Tuesday at Devendra Nagar crematorium.
The three daughters of the deceased Hora, lit his funeral pyre in presence of dozens of people.
Harminder had reportedly committed suicide at Union Club in Raipur on Monday evening. He had shot himself dead with a pistol.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel expressed grief over the sad demise of Hora and had visited to the Devendra Nagar-based residence of Gurumukh Singh Hora to console the family.
