PLA Western Theater Command spokesman Senior Colonel Zhang Shuili said in a statement on Monday night that a soldier of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) went missing on Sunday while searching for his yak in the China-India border areas. China immediately informed India on this and hoped that India could help in the search of the missing soldier. He said that India agreed to help in the search of the Chinese soldier and return him. India later informed China that the missing Chinese soldier has been found and will send it back to China after medical examination. In his statement, Zhang expressed the hope that India will fulfill its promise.
