Chief Minister Shivraj 37 lakh poor people of the state will get 5 kg wheat or rice and one kg salt from todaySeptember 16, 2020
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan will issue eligibility slips to 36 lakh 86 thousand 856 poor people of Madhya Pradesh under National Food Security Act today. CM Chauhan will give the eligibility slips to these poor families and will also inaugurate the food festival at the Samanvay Bhavan.
All these new beneficiaries, like other fair price consumers, will be given 5 kg of wheat or rice per member and one kg of iodine salt per family at the rate of Re 1 per kg in the month of September. Similarly, 1.5 liters of kerosene will be given to each family at a rate determined by the collector. Along with this, all the new, old consumers will be given 5 kg of free wheat or rice and one kg of pulses per member by November under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Anna Yojana. The Chief Minister has started the implementation of ‘One Nation One Ration Card Scheme’ in the state. For this, after completion of Aadhaar seeding work of fair price consumers, they will be able to get ration in fair price from any ration shop. The biggest benefit of this system will be for the migrant laborers who go to many parts of the country for wages . Madhya Pradesh currently has 1 crore 16 lakh 89 thousand 136 eligible families under the National Food Security Act, whose family members are 5 crore 44 lakh 31 thousand 183. The number of eligible families being newly added is one crore 66 lakh 253, out of which 35 lakh 24 thousand 443 number of eligible beneficiaries are being added.
