Husband haunted after murder
Doubtful on the character of the wife, the accused husband Amrish Kumar Nishad (32 years), resident Kasauli, Muzaffarpur (Uttar Pradesh) took his wife Moni Nishad Raj (28 years) to the forest on the pretext of roaming and strangled to death by strangling her and brutally killing her Gave. After this, the body was burnt by adding petrol. With the intention of misleading the police after this dreadful murder, the accused lodged a report of missing wife at Shahdol GRP police station in Madhya Pradesh on 14 February. The accused said that during the journey on the train, his wife went to Anuppur railway station to be fresh and did not return.
After the missing report was filed, the GRP police got involved in the investigation. During this time, the police saw contradiction in the statements of the accused. When the police strictly questioned, the accused confessed his crime. During interrogation, he told that his wife used to suspect him of having a relationship with another girl, due to which there were quarrels and he was upset with it. For this reason, he took his wife Moni Nishad Raj on 11 February 2025 to a deserted place in Kunwarpur forest under Lakhanpur police station area of Surguja district of Chhattisgarh and strangled him to death at around 12:30 pm.
After this, he put petrol on the dead body and burnt it. On the behest of the accused husband, the police recovered a burnt skeleton, which the accused told his wife. In the case, Lakhanpur police has registered an offense against the accused under section 103 (1) and 238 BNS and started investigating.
