    Tribal Pride Day and Interstate Tribal Folk Dance Festival-2024

    Raipur 14 November 2024/ Two-day Tribal Pride Day and Inter-State Tribal Folk Dance Festival started at the Science College grounds of the capital Raipur. In the festival, folk dance groups from different states enthralled the audience with their performances. On this occasion, tribal groups from Sikkim, Gujarat, Arunachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Jammu Kashmir, Chhattisgarh, Nagaland, Uttaranchal, Telangana, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Daman Diu, Gujarat and Rajasthan presented traditional folk dances.

    The first cultural presentation in the Folk Dance Festival was given by the Madia tribe of Chhattisgarh through Gaur Madia dance. Gaur Madiya dance is performed by the Gaur Madiya tribe in Bastar division of Chhattisgarh state. This dance of this tribe is full of joy, lively and powerful. The folk dancer group of Limbu tribe community of Sikkim presented Chasok Tangnam dance, a dance performed in worship of nature, protection of crops and animals. The folk dance troupe from Gujarat presented Siddi Goma dance and Rathwa dance. The group of dancers from Arunachal Pradesh presented Geh Padam Ae Na-Nyi.

    After this, the Gond tribal group from Dindori, Madhya Pradesh enthralled the audience with the presentation of Saila-Reena dance. Saila-Reena dance and song is a multi-tribal dance. The dancer group of Gujjar tribal community of Jammu and Kashmir received a lot of applause with their presentation of the captivating Gojri dance. On the first day of Tribal Pride Day and Inter-State Tribal Folk Dance Festival, Baati dance by the tribal community of Uttarakhand, Mathuri dance by Telangana, Karma dance by Uttar Pradesh, Sugali dance by Karnataka, Dhimsa dance by Andhra Pradesh, Daman by Diu. Tarpa dance and Chakri dance were presented by the tribal artists of Rajasthan. Along with this, folk dances of different Teej festivals were presented by the tribal artists of all the districts of Chhattisgarh. Given.

    On the first day of the Tribal Pride Day and Inter-State Tribal Folk Dance Festival held at the Science College grounds, there was an atmosphere of tremendous enthusiasm among the artists as well as the audience present. The audience clapped and encouraged the dances of the tribal artists from different states.
