Through this, we will be successful with the cooperation of all of you in making Chhattisgarh a developed state under Vision-2047. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai said this while addressing the annual conference of All India Kanwar Samaj organized at Pamshala in Jashpur district.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that there is a double engine government in Chhattisgarh. Due to this, people are getting full benefits of the schemes of both the state government and the central government. We have fulfilled most of the guarantees of Modi ji in the last one year.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai said that the Prime Minister of the country Shri Narendra Modi has started ambitious schemes like PM Janman, Dharti Aaba Tribe Gram Utkarsh Yojana for the overall development of the tribal community and connecting them with the mainstream. In these schemes, he has taken care of every need of the tribals ranging from education, health, nutrition, employment and housing. Chhattisgarh government is rapidly benefiting the tribal community in these schemes. Our government is making every possible effort to bring prosperity and upliftment in the lives of all sections of the society including the tribal community.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister announced Rs 20 lakh for converting Snake Park and Tapkara in Farsabahar into tehsils and leveling the stadium at Pamshala. In the program, Chief Minister Shri Sai inaugurated and performed Bhoomi Pujan of 507 development works costing Rs 87 crore 31 lakh 98 thousand. These include Bhoomi Pujan of 483 works costing Rs 85.08 crore and inauguration of 24 works constructed at a cost of Rs 2.23 crore.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that in the first cabinet meeting on the very second day of oath-taking, we had taken an immediate decision to benefit 18 lakh families of the state from the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. We have increased the tendu leaf collection rate from Rs 4,000 to Rs 5,500 per standard bag. This has brought about a change in the standard of living of the forest dwelling brothers. He said that we are purchasing paddy in the state at the rate of Rs 3100 per quintal and at the rate of 21 quintal per acre as per the guarantee of paddy purchase. We are paying the support price to the farmers immediately. As soon as the paddy procurement is over, the difference amount will also be deposited in their bank accounts.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said in the program that the tribal Kanwar community is moving rapidly on the path of development. He said that the society which constantly thinks about its direction and condition, discusses among itself, removes evil practices, identifies the obstacles to development and tries to remove them, is able to move ahead. No one can stop. He said that this is an opportunity to share our achievements and also to learn from each other’s experiences and inspire each other.
Addressing the program, Mrs. Gomti Sai of Surguja Tribal Development Authority announced to give Rs 20 lakh to the Kanwar community for development works. In the programme, Chief Minister Shri Sai released the book ‘Social and Economic Development of Shkanwar Tribe’ and ‘Badalta Abujhmad and other stories’ written by retired IAS officer Maheshwar Sai. Former MP Nandkumar Sai, Chief Minister’s wife Mrs. Kaushalya Sai, Kanwar Samaj President Bharat Sai and many public representatives and distinguished citizens were present in the programme.
