    Chhattisgarh should become an ideal state by implementing the laws soon.

    The Chhattisgarh government should fix the accountability of DSP level officers for filing chargesheets within 60 and 90 days.

    In the new laws, the process from recording evidence to the entire trial is possible through video conferencing, which will save a lot of manpower.

    Every police station and DSP level officer in Chhattisgarh should use NATGRID in cases of serious crimes.

    Raipur, April 21, 2025/ The Union Minister of Home Affairs and Cooperation, Shri Amit Shah, today held a review meeting in New Delhi with the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, regarding the implementation of the three new criminal laws in the state. The meeting reviewed the implementation and current status of various new provisions related to police, jails, courts, prosecution, and forensics. The meeting was attended by the Deputy Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, the Union Home Secretary, the Chief Secretary of Chhattisgarh, the Director General of BPR&D, the Director General of Police of Chhattisgarh, and the Director of NCRB, along with senior officials from the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Government of Chhattisgarh.

    In his address, the Union Minister of Home Affairs and Cooperation, Shri Amit Shah, said that to fully implement the three new criminal laws brought under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji in Chhattisgarh, it is necessary to work in this direction by making it a top priority agenda. He said that the goal of the three new criminal laws is to improve the Indian judicial process, and a state like Chhattisgarh needs it even more. He said that Chhattisgarh should take the complete implementation of the three new criminal laws as a challenge and become an ideal state by implementing them soon.

    Shri Amit Shah said that the Chhattisgarh government should fix the accountability of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) level officers for filing charge sheets within 60 and 90 days. He said that in the new laws, the process from recording evidence to the entire trial is possible through video conferencing, which will save a lot of manpower.

    The Union Home Minister said that every police station and DSP level officer in Chhattisgarh should get into the habit of using NATGRID in cases of serious crimes. He said that the Chief Secretary and Director General of Police of the state should review the progress of the implementation of the new criminal laws in the state once a week, the Home Minister of the state every 15 days, and the Chief Minister once a month.
