Raipur, March 7, 2025 / A delegation of the Chhattisgarh Chamber of Commerce, led by President Shri Amar Parwani, met Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai at his residence office this evening and expressed gratitude to him for announcing the increase in the limit of the E-way bill and exemption in VAT in the budget.
It is noteworthy that Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, with the aim of providing relief to traders and reducing the burden of tax in the financial year 2025-26 budget, has announced increasing the E-way bill limit from Rs 50,000 to Rs 1 lakh and waiving VAT liability up to Rs 25,000.
Shri Amar Parwani said that increasing the E-way bill limit from fifty thousand rupees to one lakh rupees will provide relief to a large number of traders. Similarly, the announcement of waiving outstanding amount of up to twenty-five thousand rupees in VAT tax of small traders will benefit 66 thousand traders across the state. He expressed his gratitude to the Chief Minister for these announcements.
The Chief Minister told the delegation that the state government is sensitive to the problems of the traders. An encouraging environment has been created in the state for trade and business due to the policies of the state government.
On this occasion, a large number of Chamber officials and members including Sarvshri Surendra Singh, Shankar Bajaj, Avneet Singh, Jitu Doshi and Preetpal Singh were present.
