Bilaspur. The Chhattisgarh High Court has taken an important decision regarding recovery from the GPF General Provident Fund after retirement to officers and employees posted in government departments of the state. Hearing the petition of an employee, he said that 6 months after the retirement of an officer and employee, the GPF account could not be recovered.
The court issued a notice to the Accountant General and asked to pay the outstanding GPF amount of the petitioner immediately.
Significantly, the petitioner Hridaynarayan Shukla retired on 30 June 2020. 9 months later, the Accountant General Office had withdrawn the amount of salary more than the GPF amount from his account. After which he filed a petition in the court through advocate Abhishek Pandey and Swati Saraf.
In this case, the High Court today accepted the petition and ordered the immediate payment of the outstanding GPF amount by canceling the recovery order issued against the petitioner.
