A complete database of farmers will be created after registration
Farmers’ unique ID, land records, crop and insurance information will be recorded
No more repeated KYC hassles; farmers will get benefits of all schemes with one click
Raipur / The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare is creating a digital database of farmers across the country under the AgriStack scheme. Under this, 2.64 lakh farmers have been registered so far in Chhattisgarh, and 2.63 lakh farmers have been issued farmer IDs. Balodabazar, Kondagaon, Gariaband, Balod, and Mahasamund are among the top five districts in Chhattisgarh in registering farmers under this scheme.
Farmers have to undergo separate KYC procedures to avail the benefits of each government scheme. With AgriStack, once registered, a complete database of the farmer is created. The government has eliminated the hassle of repeated KYC. Now, farmers will get the benefit of every government scheme after only one KYC. It is noteworthy that AgriStack is a digital ecosystem for the Indian agricultural sector, developed by the Government of India, aimed at creating a comprehensive database of farmers, including their identity, land records, income, loans, crops, and insurance information.
