Bhilai: Bhilai Nagar MLA Devendra Yadav strongly criticized the budget presented by State Finance Minister OP Chaudhary. He called it a drama of only big promises and schemes instead of the development of the state. Yadav said that there is nothing concrete for youth, farmers, and women in this budget, due to which it is proving to be the worst budget in the history of the state.
MLA Yadav said, “This budget is only going to show Mungeri Lal’s dreams, in which there is no concrete plan on the ground.” He accused the government that it is talking big things just to hide his failure, but in reality there is no plan to increase the income of villages, poor, laborers and farmers.
Yadav also said that the announcements made last year, such as a provision of 5 crore for SCR and 30,000 teacher recruitment, no action is seen in this budget. No schemes have been made for the farmers and tribal communities of the state.
Apart from this, he also attacked the government for the announcement of 20 crores for the Nalanda campus in Bhilai by Bhupesh Baghel. He said that it was a year, but no work was done on this project. Also, the announcement of 50 crores to create a Mahtari Sadan for women is also a pretense in this budget.
Yadav also reminded that Chief Minister Raman Singh had talked about running the metro from Rajnandgaon to Raipur in 2012, but in this budget, a provision of only Rs 5 crore has been made for the metro from the fort, which is just a small announcement instead of a big thing.
MLA Yadav in the end said that this budget will only give disappointment to the citizens of the state. He said, “This budget is going to take the state to darkness, because it does not solve the problems of the present.”
