Janjgir-Champa: Like every year in the ancient religious city Shivrinarayan, this time also the grand start of Shivrinarayan fair on the auspicious occasion of Maghi Purnima. The fair started with a Maghi bath of devotees at the Triveni Sangam of Mahanadi. Devotees from all over the country took a dip of faith and then reached the temple to see Lord Nar-Narayan. On this occasion, saints and saints also took a royal bath in the association of Rajeshree Mahant Ramsunder Das. It is believed that Lord Jagannath sits in the Shivrinarayan temple for one day, which thousands of devotees gathered to see. On Maghi Purnima, lakhs of devotees are taking a bath in Chitrotpala Ganga (Mahanadi) and earning virtuous benefits. During this time, devotees are also enjoying the Shivrinarayan fair. There is a lot of colorful shops, swings, entertainment and traditional clothes and food items, due to which devotees are shopping fiercely. The Shivrinarayan fair will continue till 26 February Mahashivaratri. Millions of devotees are expected to arrive every day in this fair, which lasts for 15 days. From morning till late night, there are long queues of visitors in the temple and the tone of devotion is echoing.
