Amit Pandey, Khairagarh. As the summer season approaches, the sale of cold drinks increases. Cold drink is very helpful in quenching thirst amidst the scorching heat, but if someone gives you a fake cold drink out of greed for a little money, then the cold drink you drink to get relief from the heat can even kill you. Today, Khairagarh Police has busted a fake factory manufacturing such fake cold drinks. Where the work of making mango, litchi and many types of fake cold drinks was going on in full swing.

Let us tell you that it is difficult to identify fake cold drinks that look exactly like real ones. That is why the accused were easily running their dirty business without caring about the lives of common people. Police have arrested the accused Dinesh Sahu in the case. Who was manufacturing cold drinks illegally by installing a machine at his house in Ward No. 15, Chhuikhdan. When the police raided Dinesh’s house, everyone was shocked to see his actions. Police have also recovered 700 pieces of mango juice, 1300 pieces of strong, 200 pieces of litchi juice along with a large quantity of empty bottles, 1 soda machine and wrappers from the spot.

When accused Dinesh was asked to show any document related to making cold drinks or any standard or license related to food safety, he could not give the document to the police. After which the police took the accused Dinesh Sahu into judicial custody and handed over all the goods of the fake cold drink factory to the Food Department.

When will action be taken against other fake factories in the district?

It is noteworthy that Khairagarh police may have exposed a fake cold drink factory in Chhuikhdan, but if sources are to be believed, many more fake factories are still operating in the district. Many of these have been going on for years and are yet to be curbed. Now it remains to be seen when the police takes action against these factories.
