FIR has been registered for stopping and stone pelting of ED car after raiding the house of former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel. The Durg Police has registered an FIR in the incident of stopping and stoning a vehicle of the Enforcement Directorate team. The team went to search his residence in a case against the son of former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Bhupesh Baghel. On Monday night, the driver of the private vehicle lodged a complaint at the ‘Old Bhilai’ police station in the said district.
The old Bhilai police have registered a case against 15 to 20 people including Sunny Aggarwal on the complaint of ED. Sunny Aggarwal pelted stones in ED’s Innova car at the time of returning after the proceedings of ED’s house of Bhupesh Baghel.

Bhupesh Baghel was present at home during the action. He later questioned the objective of raiding the ED, while the Congress said that the raid against Baghel was “conspiracy” to “manage the headlines” that day when the budget session of Parliament started again and the government faced the opposition’s questions on many issues. Chaitanya Baghel can be called to the ED office in Raipur for questioning in the case. According to the ED, the alleged liquor scam in the Central Indian state took place between 2019 and 2022, when Chhattisgarh was ruled by the Congress government led by CM Baghel. The federal investigative agency had earlier stated that the state treasury suffered a “heavy loss” as a result of the Chhattisgarh liquor “scam” and the pockets of the beneficiaries of the liquor syndicate were filled with crime income of more than Rs 2,100 crore.
