Bemetara: In Chhattisgarh, the Congress has suffered a major setback before the urban body elections 2025. Bemetara Congress District President Banshi Patel has resigned from the party. In the resignation letter, Banshi Patel has raised serious questions on the working style and decision process of the party.
In his resignation letter, Banshi Patel said that he has served the Congress party in the last 52 years, but he has been hurt by the controversies and decisions within the party in recent times. In the letter, he had complained to the state president Deepak Badge and other leaders about the situation in Bemetara district, but no positive response was received.
He alleged that he was insulted in the selection of candidates for the urban body elections. Patel said that in violation of the policies of the party, some leaders selected the candidates in an immoral manner and they are very hurt by this situation. He said that the true soldiers of the Congress party were ignored and such people were given tickets, who were earlier active in BJP. Patel also said that he never thought that he would have to see such derogatory days in the Congress party and that is why he is now resigning from the post of primary membership and district president of the party.
