Raipur, May 9, 2025 / As part of the state-wide Good Governance Festival, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai took information from the villagers regarding the implementation of government schemes in a chaupal (village meeting) organized in village Baldakachar of Balodabazar Bhatapara district. During this, Chief Minister Shri Sai announced the construction of an embankment to protect the riverbank from erosion due to the flow of the Mahanadi River in village Baldakachar, and the installation of a high mast light in the village square. Along with this, on the demand of the villagers, he spoke about opening a sub-health center in Baldakachar, getting an investigation done for the construction of an anicut in the Mahanadi River, and providing employment by training drivers to run safari vehicles for jungle safari in Nawapara Sanctuary.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that under the Good Governance Festival, officials are reaching your homes to know whether people’s problems are being addressed and whether government schemes are reaching the common people or not. Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural), the survey for Awas 2.0 is ongoing to provide housing benefits to eligible beneficiaries. In this, all eligible beneficiaries must get themselves registered. Now the government has also decided that a person owning 5 acres of unirrigated or 2.5 acres of irrigated land and owning a motorcycle will also be eligible for the housing scheme. The portal will be reopened for new registrations for the Mahtari Vandan Yojana. On this occasion, Chief Secretary Shri Amitabh Jain, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri Subodh Kumar Singh, Secretary Shri Basavaraju S. and other officials were present.
