Raipur, March 10, 2025/ A 20-member delegation of the Chhattisgarh Pradesh Kunbi Samaj Mahasangathan paid a courtesy visit to Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai and expressed gratitude for exempting the film “Chhava,” based on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, from taxes in the state. The delegation said that this decision is an important initiative to convey history to the masses in an easy and simple manner.
The delegation honored Chief Minister Shri Sai by presenting him with a statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, a Marathi cap, a shawl, and a coconut, and said that under his leadership, the state is continuously moving forward on the path of good governance and progress. The delegation demanded the declaration of a public holiday on the occasion of Shivaji Jayanti. Female members of the delegation, Smt. Sarika Gedekar and Smt. Manisha Barse, informed Chief Minister Shri Sai that the women of the Kunbi Samaj have established a cottage industry in the social building to promote self-employment. Under this, turmeric, chili, spices, etc., are being manufactured and packaged and made available in the market. Chief Minister Shri Sai appreciated this initiative of the women and described it as an inspiring step in the direction of women empowerment.
The delegation informed the Chief Minister about the construction of the Pradesh Kunbi Samaj Bhawan and discussed the future action plan of the society. The delegation included Shri Ranjit Bhau Muneshwar, Shri Umesh Ghodmod, Smt. Sarika Gedekar, Smt. Manisha Barse, Shri Dilip Gedekar, Shri Hemraj, Shri Prem Bohre, Shri Vasudev Funde, Smt.
