Chhattisgarh Announces State Sports Awards: Apply Before June 26, 2025

The Chhattisgarh government’s Sports and Youth Welfare Department is inviting applications for the State Sports Awards for the fiscal years 2023-24 and 2024-25. The deadline to submit applications has been set for June 26, 2025. The awards encompass the Shaheed Rajiv Pandey, Shaheed Kaushal Yadav, Shaheed Pankaj Vikram, Shaheed Vinod Choubey, and Veer Hanuman Singh Samman, along with the Chief Minister’s Trophy, prize money, sports scholarships (diet money), and an incentive fund. The primary objective of these awards is to acknowledge and encourage outstanding performances by athletes, coaches, and judges at both the state and national levels. Selection criteria will consider eligibility, accomplishments, and recommendations from relevant sports associations. The Shaheed Rajiv Pandey Award will feature a prize of ₹3 lakh, while the Shaheed Kaushal Yadav and Veer Hanuman Singh Awards will offer ₹1.5 lakh each. The Pankaj Vikram and Vinod Choubey Samman will include ₹25,000, and the Chief Minister’s Trophy will present prize money ranging from ₹1 lakh to ₹5 lakh, contingent on the number of team members. National and international medalists, those who have excelled in state-level competitions, and athletes from sub-junior, junior, and senior categories are eligible to apply. Players eligible for diet money must be under 19 years old. Application forms are accessible on the department’s website at http://sportsyw.cg.gov.in and at district/state sports offices. Only applications for the Shaheed Pankaj Vikram Samman endorsed by state sports associations will be considered. The deadline for application submission is June 26, 2025, during office hours. Applications can be submitted to the Directorate of Sports and Youth Welfare, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Hockey Stadium, G.E. Road, Raipur, or the District Sports Office, Raipur. All required certificates must accompany the application, and incomplete or unclear applications will not be considered. The selection committee’s decision will be final.
