Shivri Narayan Mela: The Chief Minister appealed to devotees to participate in the faith festival.
Raipur, February 11, 2025/ Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Say extended his heartfelt best wishes to the people of the state for the Rajim Kumbh Kalp and Shivrinarayan Mela, stating that the Rajim Kumbh Kalp, commencing on February 12th at the confluence of the Mahanadi, Pairy, and Sondhur rivers, is not only a symbol of Chattisgarh’s spiritual consciousness but also a vibrant confluence of its rich culture and traditions.
Chief Minister Shri Say said that Rajim, known as the ‘Prayag of Chattisgarh’, has been a center of faith for devotees and the saint community for centuries. The state government has reinstated the Rajim Maghi Punni Mela to its original form, naming it “Rajim Kumbh Kalp”. This is not merely a religious event, but a significant effort to protect and promote Chattisgarh’s glorious cultural and spiritual heritage.
He said that Rajim, the Prayag of Chattisgarh, is ready to welcome the Kumbh Kalp. The Rajim Kumbh Kalp will feature saint gatherings, religious discourses, the diverse colors of folk culture, and a unique glimpse of spiritual consciousness. Devotees from Chattisgarh and neighboring states will participate in large numbers in this event to gain merit.
Chief Minister Shri Say said that on the occasion of Magha Purnima, a fair is held at the sacred confluence of the Mahanadi, Shivnath, and Jonk rivers in Shivrinarayan, which is a symbol of faith and devotion. He said that the Rajim Kumbh Kalp and Shivrinarayan Mela are not only religiously and culturally significant, but these events also play a crucial role in empowering the state’s rich traditions and spiritual consciousness.
The Chief Minister appealed to the devotees to participate in large numbers in these faith festivals and wished everyone a happy, prosperous, and auspicious life.
