The Naxalites had also taken the contractor’s JCB with them. According to the information, the contractor was getting work done on the Tap Water Mission Scheme. The village from where all four have been kidnapped belongs to Singram of Jagargunda police station area. This area is a heavily Naxalite affected area. This is the border area of ​​Bijapur and Sukma.

Naxalites are continuously active in Sukma. On January 30 also, Naxalites had launched a major attack on the security forces. Three soldiers were martyred in this firing. There were 14 soldiers injured. The injured soldiers were airlifted for treatment. In fact, on January 30, Cobra and STF had conducted a search operation in the core area of ​​Naxalites. During this time, as soon as the soldiers knocked, the Naxalites started firing on them.
