Bilaspur. A case of suicide has come to light from the district. After returning from the annual function, a class 12 student committed suicide by hanging himself. The student also talked to his family members before committing suicide. Then hanged himself. According to family members, the student was smart in studies and was normal even when talking on the phone. He has demanded a high-level investigation into the suicide. The matter is of City Kotwali police station area.
Vaibhav Sahu, 18 year old son of Dharmendra Sahu, resident of Pamgarh, Janjgir Champa district, lived in a rented house in Tikrapara of City Kotwali police station area. Vaibhav Sahu was a class 12 student of Sandipani Public School. There was an annual function in his school. After attending which, Vaibhav returned home at night. According to family members, they had talked to Vaibhav on phone when he was in school. Then we could not talk after coming back from school. He called Vaibhav’s mobile but despite continuous ringing, Vaibhav did not pick up the phone. The family felt that due to the annual function, Vaibhav had become tired and fell asleep. But when the phone was not picked up even in the morning, the family members got scared and came from Pamgarh to Bilaspur. Here they saw that Vaibhav had committed suicide by hanging himself and his body was hanging. The family members informed this to the city police station.
City Kotwali police reached the information, prepared Panchnama, got the post-mortem done of the body, established a path and started investigation. During police interrogation, Vaibhav’s father Dharmendra Sahu and family members told that Vaibhav was a bright student in studies. He wanted to become an administrative officer by clearing competitive examination in future. He didn’t have any bad habits either. According to family members, Vaibhav was normal when he talked to his family members while he was in school before committing suicide. Vaibhav had said that instead of coming home during holidays, he would stay in Bilaspur to prepare for the board exams. But why did Vaibhav suddenly commit suicide? This is beyond understanding among family members.
The family has demanded a high-level investigation to find out the reasons for their son’s suicide. According to City Kotwali Police Vivek Pandey, no suicide note was found from the spot during the search of the student’s rented room. The student’s mobile has been seized and cyber cell has been sent for investigation. Mobile investigation may reveal the reasons for suicide. Police is investigating all aspects.
