Raipur, February 10, 2025: A delegation from the Polish Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Affairs paid a courtesy call on Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai at his residence today. Chief Minister Shri Sai welcomed the delegation and presented them with a Bastar art emblem and a state-issued gamcha (traditional cloth). The Chief Minister briefed the delegation on Chhattisgarh’s rich cultural heritage, mineral resources, forest wealth, tourism, and other features, and discussed the subject of economic investment in the state. The Chief Minister stated that Chhattisgarh is rapidly progressing on the path of economic development. Our doors are open to investors; all kinds of facilities are being provided to industries here. The Chief Minister also invited investors from Poland and other European countries to invest in Chhattisgarh. The Polish parliamentary delegation was very impressed by the information about Chhattisgarh’s natural beauty and rich cultural heritage.
The Chairman of the Polish Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Affairs, Shri Pawel Kowal, said that he enjoyed his visit to Chhattisgarh. He visited Purkhauti Muktangar yesterday, where he saw a glimpse of Chhattisgarh’s culture. Last year, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi visited Poland. It was the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Poland in nearly 45 years. Following this visit, relations between Poland and India have strengthened. In line with this, we are visiting various states of India. There is great potential for mutual cooperation between Chhattisgarh and Poland. In this respect, this visit to Chhattisgarh is very important for us. He expressed his gratitude to everyone for the warm welcome of the delegation in Chhattisgarh.
During the discussion with the delegation, the Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Shri Modi visited Poland last year. This was the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Poland in 45 years. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is establishing good relations with all countries. It is a matter of great pleasure that the Polish Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Affairs has visited Chhattisgarh and shown interest in investment opportunities here. We welcome you all to the state. We will provide all types of cooperation and facilities to Polish investors who want to make economic investments in Chhattisgarh.
Informing the delegation about Chhattisgarh, the Chief Minister said that in the 25-year journey since the state’s formation, Chhattisgarh has made unprecedented progress. Chhattisgarh is the ninth largest state in the country. Chhattisgarh is making a significant contribution to the country’s development. It has abundant mineral resources and forest wealth. Shri Rajat Kumar, Secretary, Department of Industries, provided information about the new industrial policy implemented in the state. A short PowerPoint presentation was given on Chhattisgarh’s infrastructure, cultural heritage, and tourism.
On this occasion, Shri P. Dayanand, Shri Mukesh Bansal, Secretaries to the Chief Minister, and Shri Vivek Acharya, Director, Department of Culture, were present.
