Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel visits Keonjhar templeJanuary 1, 2020
Chhatisgarh chief minister Bhupesh Baghel arrived in Ghatagaon in Keonjhar district on Tuesday on a personal visit to offer puja at the Maa Tarini temple, one of the famous pilgrimages in the district. Baghel met senior Congress leaders from Odisha and returned to Raipur.
The Chhatisgarh CM’s chopper landed at the Ghatagaon college ground around 12.40 pm and returned around two hours later. Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee president Niranjan Patnaik along with other district leaders were present to receive him at the ground and accompanied him to the shrine in a procession.
Keonjhar collector Ashish Thakre, Keonjhar SP Mitrabhanu Mohapatra along with other district officials were present at Ghatagaon for the high-profile visit. “It was a personal visit to Ghatagaon and he returned to Raipur after offering puja at the shrine,” the SP said.
Rajendra Pattanayak, president of Maa Tarini Trust said, “After offering puja, the Chhattisgarh CM appreciated the temple administration for the smooth functioning of the shrine. Due to the grace of the deity, he could come here and offer puja. We are sure it will be a memorable day for him.”
