Bhupesh Government should fulfill its promise of complete prohibition: MP Santosh PandeyMay 12, 2020
Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh government is giving open invitation to Corona by opening liquor shops in the state
The risk of corona infection is increasing day by day due to which the lockdown in the country has been increased. Corona patients have been found in Chhattisgarh, there is strong opposition to opening liquor shops.
Today, on May 12, 2020, the Bharatiya Janata Party Chhattisgarh held a statewide dharna in their homes from 3 pm to 5 pm.
Rajnandgaon Lok Sabha MP Shri Santosh Pandey also staged a sit-in at his home in Kawardha. During this, Shri Santosh Pandey said that the decision by the Congress Government of Chhattisgarh to open liquor shops and deliver liquor by home delivery to the homes is condemnable. Before the election, the people of the state saw how eager the Bhupesh government was to open liquor shops with swearing on the Ganges water.
Shri Santosh Pandey said that the state government was working to open liquor shops even in lockdown. The way in which liquor shops are crowding people and flaunting social distancing is clearly an invitation to Corona. The Government of Chhattisgarh will have to think seriously on this subject and fulfill its promise of prohibition. Due to the opening of liquor shops, road accidents, house clashes and other incidents are getting seen and read in the news headlines daily.
Similarly, promising unemployment allowance of Rs 2500 to many youths of the state who are unemployed and then turning away from it is a betrayal of the youth. The farmer is upset due to the sudden rain and hailstorm. There is anger among farmers due to irregularities by the state government in paddy procurement. They have not received the bonus of two years yet, while Chhattisgarh people living in other states are going to their homes on foot. At such a time, they should be provided assistance of at least one thousand rupees.
