The Nyuntam Aay Yojana (NYAY) or the minimum income guarantee scheme – much talked about the promise in the Congress party’s manifesto for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, is all in readiness to become reality in one of the states the grand old party is in power- Chhattisgarh.
We are discussing it within the party and it is under consideration. It will begin as a pilot project in a small area at first just the way we started a pilot project against malnutrition in Bastar to begin with and will expand it to the rest of the State on October 2,” Mr Baghel told the daily.
