Vietnam-based VinFast, which recently entered the Indian market with two electric vehicles, is gearing up to launch a compact electric car. The company has filed patents for the ‘Limo Green’ and ‘Minio Green’ models, including a small electric car and a 7-seater EV. The Minio Green is positioned to rival the MG Comet EV and Tata Tiago EV, offering a unique blend of features, dimensions, and design, and will be VinFast’s most budget-friendly electric offering.
VinFast is focused on gaining a substantial foothold in the Indian EV sector. The company’s earlier launches included the VF6 and VF7 electric SUVs. Currently, the MG Comet EV holds the title of India’s most compact and cost-effective electric car, with a price range of ₹7.50 lakh to ₹9.56 lakh across its six variants. The Minio Green, patented by VinFast, shares a similar footprint. The small electric hatchback has a length of 3,100 mm, surpassing the MG Comet, and features a wheelbase of 2,065 mm, along with 13-inch tires.
