Hero’s electric vehicle brand, Vida, has introduced the VX2 electric scooter, a model distinguished by its dual-battery system. This innovative design allows users to run the scooter on one battery while the other is charging, enhancing convenience. Both batteries are removable, facilitating charging from any standard power outlet.
The VX2 is available in Go and Plus variants, with prices starting from ₹99,490 (ex-showroom) for the base model, and ₹1.10 lakh (ex-showroom) for the other. The scooter is designed to compete with established electric scooter models from brands such as TVS, Bajaj, Ather, and Ola.
The VX2 Plus model comes with a 3.4kWh battery pack consisting of two removable batteries, offering a range of up to 142 km. The Go variant features a 2.2kWh portable battery pack, providing a range of 92 km. Charging from 0 to 80 percent takes about six hours using a standard charger, but a fast charger can achieve the same charge in just 60 minutes.
The VX2 is powered by a 6kW PMS motor, enabling swift acceleration. The Plus variant can reach 40 km/h from a standstill in 3.1 seconds, while the Go variant does the same in 4.2 seconds. It’s equipped with 12-inch alloy wheels, telescopic forks, and a mono-shock suspension. Notable features include a wide range of colors, generous underseat storage, cloud connectivity with remote immobilization, LED lighting, turn-by-turn navigation, live ride data display, and a 4.3-inch TFT display.
