After a long wait, TVS Motor Company has finally launched the Orbiter electric scooter. It is priced at ₹99,900 (ex-showroom, Bangalore). The Orbiter showcases a blend of design cues from the iQube and some new design elements. This new electric scooter has several features. Let’s explore what makes it special.
**TVS Orbiter Design**
The Orbiter’s design is modern and stylish. The availability of multiple color options helps it stand out, and the overall design gives it a strong aesthetic appeal. The seat is 845 mm long, and the floorboard is 290 mm wide. The handlebar design facilitates a comfortable riding position.
**TVS Orbiter Storage Space**
The scooter offers 34 liters of under-seat storage and a ground clearance of 169 mm. TVS has used a 14-inch front wheel and a 12-inch rear wheel. The front wheel is an alloy wheel, while the electric motor is integrated into the 12-inch rear wheel.
**TVS Orbiter Battery Pack**
The TVS Orbiter features a 3.1 kWh battery pack, providing a range of up to 158 km on a single charge based on IDC standards. It includes two riding modes: Eco and Power. The scooter also features regenerative braking. Further information on the electric motor’s specifics and charging times is yet to be released.
**TVS Orbiter Features and Color Options**
True to the brand’s reputation, the Orbiter is feature-rich. It includes LED lighting, a USB charging port, and OTA updates. It also features Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation on a digital instrument cluster.
Other features include hill hold assist, cruise control, and parking assist. In case of a fall, the electric scooter will shut off the electric motor. The TVS Orbiter will be available in Neon Sunburst, Stratos Blue, Lunar Grey, Stellar Silver, Cosmic Titanium, and Martian Copper color options.
