TVS has entered the electric scooter market with the Orbiter, a new model positioned below the existing iQube. The Orbiter was presented with a focus on its innovative features and impressive range. The scooter utilizes an IP67-certified traction motor and battery, and is designed with a distinct aesthetic that prioritizes rider comfort. The Orbiter’s design includes a flat floor for improved ergonomics and a long seat. The scooter is offered in six unique colors: Neon Sunburst, Stratos Blue, Lunar Grey, Stellar Silver, Cosmic Titanium, and Martian Copper. It sports a high-mounted headlamp, with the DRL integrated into the front. The Orbiter includes an 845 mm flat seat designed to provide a comfortable riding position. Additional features include 169 mm of ground clearance and 14-inch wheels. The scooter provides 34 liters of under-seat storage and 290 mm of usable space on the flat footboard. The Orbiter includes cruise control, coupled with safety features to protect the rider. It also incorporates a USB charging port and automated hill assist. The Orbiter offers a range of approximately 158 km on a full charge. It also boasts a connected cluster with Bluetooth connectivity, offering functionalities such as live location tracking, anti-theft alerts, nearby charging station updates, and vehicle health status monitoring. A motor cut-off safety system is in place to prevent unintentional acceleration. The 158 km range is supported by a 3.1 kWh battery pack, making it a more affordable alternative. A 2.2 kWh battery pack is also available for a range of 94 km. The Orbiter is priced at ₹99,000 (ex-showroom, Bangalore) and is available for booking through the TVS official website.
