TVS Motor Company has introduced the TVS NTORQ 150, a groundbreaking hyper sport scooter designed to elevate the riding experience. Boasting a 149.7cc engine and a design aesthetic borrowed from stealth aircraft, the NTORQ 150 is engineered for high performance, a sporty appearance, and cutting-edge technology, all aimed at the new generation of riders. The scooter is available at an introductory price of ₹1.19 lakh (ex-showroom, all India), with the top-spec TFT model also priced at ₹1.19 lakh (ex-showroom).
The NTORQ 150 features distinctive elements such as multi-point projector headlamps, aerodynamic winglets, color-coordinated alloy wheels, and a signature muffler sound. Its high-resolution TFT cluster offers over 50 smart features, including Alexa and smartwatch integration, live tracking, navigation capabilities, and over-the-air (OTA) updates, setting a new benchmark for its segment.
Performance Specifications:
The NTORQ 150 is powered by a 149.7cc air-cooled O3CTech engine, which generates 13.2 PS of power at 7000 rpm and 14.2 Nm of torque at 5500 rpm. The scooter accelerates from 0 to 60 km/h in just 6.3 seconds and achieves a top speed of 104 km/h, making it the fastest in its class.
Design and Technology:
The scooter’s design is inspired by stealth aircraft, evident in its multi-point projector headlamps and sporty tail lamps. Aerodynamic winglets and jet-inspired vents enhance its aggressive stance, complemented by a signature muffler sound and naked handlebars. Color-matched alloy wheels and sport-tuned suspension further contribute to its dynamic profile, while the signature T tail lamp and gaming console-inspired TFT display add a touch of modern flair. The scooter incorporates TVS SmartXonnect, offering over 50 features through its high-resolution TFT cluster, including Alexa and smartwatch integration, turn-by-turn navigation, vehicle tracking, and the last parked location. Additional features include call/message/social media alerts, two ride modes, OTA updates, custom widgets, and a 4-way navigation switch.
Safety and Convenience:
Safety is prioritized with the inclusion of ABS and traction control, a first in its segment. It also features a crash and theft alert system, hazard lamps, and emergency brake warning. Other features include follow-me headlamps, telescopic suspension, and adjustable brake levers. The scooter also incorporates a patented E-Z center stand and offers 22 liters of under-seat storage. In the Indian market, the NTORQ 150 will compete with rivals such as the Yamaha Aerox 155 and Hero Xoom 160.
