The automotive market is experiencing price adjustments due to changes in GST and the removal of the cess on larger vehicles. Toyota is responding by reducing prices across its range, providing relief to consumers. The new prices will take effect on September 22, 2025.
Toyota has stated that the new GST rates will result in price reductions for all its vehicles. The company encourages customers to book their cars before the festive season to ensure timely delivery. According to the company, this move will make vehicles more affordable and boost the auto sector’s confidence. The government’s reforms are anticipated to stimulate demand, especially during the festive period.

Impact of New GST
The new GST structure has led to price drops across different car segments. Small cars now have an 18% GST, reduced from 28%, with prices decreasing by 5% to 13%. Large cars are now subject to a 40% tax. Previously, they faced a combined tax of 28% GST and cess. This shift has reduced the total tax burden by 3% to 10%. Luxury brands like Mercedes-Benz, Audi, BMW, and Jaguar Land Rover, previously taxed at 50%, will now be taxed at 40%, leading to lower prices.
