Tesla is rapidly expanding its footprint in India’s electric vehicle market, preparing to launch its second retail centre in the country. The new Tesla Experience Centre, located in Delhi’s Aerocity at the WorldMark 3 campus, is scheduled to open on August 11, serving customers in the National Capital Region. This follows the debut of their first showroom in Mumbai’s Maker Maxity Mall on July 15. The Mumbai launch saw the presence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who expressed support for Tesla’s arrival and encouraged the company to consider establishing research and development and manufacturing facilities in the state. Construction of the Aerocity centre is nearing completion, with an estimated monthly rent of around Rs 25 lakh. Images of the upcoming outlet have circulated on social media, underscoring the brand’s premium positioning. At present, Tesla offers only the Model Y in India, with prices starting at Rs 59.89 lakh (ex-showroom). The Model Y is available in two variants: Standard rear-wheel drive with a 60 kWh battery offering a 500 km WLTP-certified range, and Long-range rear-wheel drive featuring a 75 kWh battery with a range of up to 622 km.
