The American electric car manufacturer, Tesla, has introduced a long-wheelbase version of the Model Y tailored for the Chinese market. This new model offers a spacious interior with a six-seater layout. The electric SUV also provides an increased driving range. The introduction of the new Model Y is aimed at improving Tesla’s sales performance in China. The design of the interior remains largely unchanged, featuring a new 2+2+2 seating arrangement. The rear seats feature captain chairs, equipped with heating and ventilation, and armrests that fold electrically. The last row seats offer heating functionality. Tesla has also expanded the features list to include a larger 16-inch touchscreen infotainment system and an 18-speaker sound system. Additionally, pillar-mounted air vents for the second and third rows, along with cup holders and a black headliner, have been added. The Model Y L comes exclusively in a long-range variant, equipped with dual motors and all-wheel drive. The front motor delivers 190 bhp, while the rear motor provides 265 bhp. The SUV accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds, with a top speed of 201 km/h. It is powered by an 82 kWh battery pack, offering a range of 751 km on a single charge. The new Model Y L weighs 96 kg more, with a total weight of 2,088 kg.
